March Traveler of the Month: Rachel V.

This was my first travel position and it just happened by accident. I had applied for a job in my local area, but it was filled quickly. The recruiter mentioned another position that was only 3 hours away from my home, so I decided to try it.

The best part about traveling is getting to work with new people and taking care of patients that can be very different culturally, especially in a city like Houston. It’s also fun being able to explore a new city.

The best part of Houston for me was being there during the Rodeo season and trying all the great barbecue food at the Rodeo!

I guess my advice would be to be flexible and really embrace the way they do things at the facility instead of always comparing it to other places where things are done differently.

This is my first experience with travel, but I have been very pleased with Axis. Jessica was a great help every step of the way.
