Live Like a Local – Little Rock!
Welcome to Little Rock!
Little Rock is a major cultural, economic, government and transportation center within Arkansas and the South. The city includes cultural institutions such as the Arkansas Arts Center, the Arkansas Repertory Theatre, and the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, in addition to the hiking, boating, and other outdoor recreational opportunities.
Little Rock’s history is also available to residents and visitors in a variety of ways; history museums, historic districts or neighborhoods like the Quapaw Quarter, and historic sites like Little Rock Central High School.
If you’re in this southern city, here are a few things to see:
Around the City:
The Clinton Presidential Park Bridge
Located in downtown Little Rock, this pedestrian and cyclist bridge connects Little Rock to North Little Rock over the Arkansas river and is a staple of the Little Rock skyline.
Bill Clinton on the Bridge Project:
“The conversion of the historic railroad bridge into a pedestrian pathway will give Central Arkansas a distinctive landmark and will complete one of the best urban trail systems in the country. By connecting important destinations, including my Presidential Center, the bridge will also support revitalization efforts in downtown Little Rock.”
The center features a permanent collection of various works of art along with occasional special exhibitions. Other parts of the center include a research library and rooms for several art education classes for a variety of age groups.
Hands-on exhibits of science and technology to entertain people of all ages.
Outside the City:
Capture gorgeous views of the Arkansas Mountains, a perfect choice for hiking and spending outdoors no matter what the season is.
Small, but entertaining. A small amusement park and a great choice to spend time with the family.
Food and Drinks:
Sophisticated, French-inspired American plates presented in a traditional, white-tablecloth setting.
Classy bistro providing refined seafood & meat dishes with wine & cocktails in a rustic-style space.
