What do you enjoy most about working with Travel Healthcare Workers?

I love hearing about everyone’s “why.” It varies from person to person and changes over time. Following healthcare employees throughout their career, helping them further their career and life experiences fills my cup!



Give us a little history on how you got into the Travel Healthcare Industry

I was fortunate enough to work with a travel nurses in high school as my first part time job, it’s safe to say it has stuck since then! I started out working in the compliance department and transitioned over to account management, and eventually recruitment. Seeing all sides of the industry has been something I am endlessly thankful for.



What’s the best vacation you’ve ever taken?

Tough question, I would have to say exploring the Great Sand Dunes National Park in Mosca, Colorado. The views in the day are only rivaled to the incredible star gazing at night!



Are there any locations that seem to be a favorite spot among travelers?

It’s all dependent on what sort of lifestyle travelers are looking for. Ready for a real winter and access to mountains to hike? Monument Rapid City Hospital in South Dakota is an extremely traveler friendly location that has countless of outdoors activities for your days off! Looking for something a bit more tame? North Carolina is a beautiful state on the East Coast with milder seasons and great cities to check out.



What would you say is your favorite U.S. location?

My favorite place in the lower 48 has to be Steamboat Springs, CO. They are known for their “champagne powder” quality snow! The most beautiful place to ski in the winter and hike in the summer.



What movies or shows would you recommend to travelers?

I will always recommend the TV show Dexter! Movies are a bit harder, but you can never go wrong with a Disney classic like Mulan or Tangled.



Share a piece of advice for someone looking to travel!

Make yourself at home, decorate and unpack when you get to your housing location for your assignment. I always encourage my travelers to bring something from their home that brings them comfort.



What are the top 3 activities on your bucket list?

– Read 100 books in a year
– Hike Denali National Park in Alaska
– Learn to crochet and knit



What have you found that makes Axis different from the rest?
