Meet Yuliana The our Traveler of the Month for March 2023! Each month, we take time to recognize one of our Axis Rock Stars that have exceeded expectations by going above and beyond every day for their patients, coworkers and the families they work with. Yuliana is currently working as an LPN in South Dakota! A destination she’s wanted to cross off her bucket list.

Let’s dive in and get to know Yuliana a little better!

What is a rewarding experience you’ve had as a Traveler?

What I love most about traveling is that I get to meet new people constantly, work in new facilities and see how they operate and discover new states and what they have to offer. While this is a rewarding experience it’s also my favorite part. It has been a great way for me to build my resume and learn from my coworkers and managers on new ways of work and practices.  

What would you share with someone that is considering travel healthcare?

I would highly suggest traveling to anyone because not only do you get to meet a lot of new people, but you have a chance to see a bunch of new places. It’s such a great way to build your skill set and knowledge in new facilities.

What is your favorite part abut South Dakota so far?

What I love most about South Dakota so far is that is peaceful, quiet and the weather has been breezy and warm. One of my goals is to venture into the more touristy areas to see what they have to offer soon!

What do you do to relax after a shift?

After a long shift you can find me kicking my feet up, resting and having a drink to relax and unwind. One of my favorite past-times is watching Netflix and finding new drama shows to check out.

What made you want to start traveling?

I  currently don’t have any personal obligations, so I felt that this is a perfect time for me to explore and see new locations across the nation. I also like knowing I have the freedom to take a little time off between contacts. I started working as an LPN in 2018 and realized it was a passion of mine and that I wanted to take on travel nursing soon after starting this career.

How did you discover Axis Medical?

I found Axis by googling Travel Nursing companies, and Axis was the top company that showed up. Axis Medical was also the first company to respond to me and have such great ratings online. I have been working with the same recruiter since I started traveling last year and haven’t been happier. I have had a great experience working with Axis, the team is very quick to respond and I been extremely happy with my experience working with the team. I know that they are there to help me along the way during each of my travel contracts.
